Truly a jack-of-all-trades in the Toronto music and theatre scene, Scott is renowned for his positivity, enthusiastic leadership, critical ear and zest for all things musical – all traits that make him a sought-after Musical Director. Having sung in choirs his whole life and studied singing from the age of five, it’s no wonder he’s ended up with a passion for contemporary choral music. Nothing makes him happier than getting people singing!

Scott spent six years as Artistic Director of newchoir, Toronto’s original rock choir, from 2015-2016 and resumed the position in 2020, serving as their Artistic Director concurrently with SoundCrowd. He was also co-Music Leader for the Eastminster United Church Choir on the Danforth from 2014-2022, and became Music Director at Donway Covenant United Church in the fall of 2024. Scott has been seen in and around the GTA as an actor, singer, piano player, musical director, arranger, songwriter and vocal coach.

Musical Director theatre credits include Beauty and the Beast and Fiddler on the Roof (Capitol Theatre, Port Hope) Anne and Gilbert (RuBarb Productions, Moose Jaw), The Rocky Horror Show (Fallen Rock Productions, Randolph Theatre), and The Secret Garden (Bryant Productions, Factory Theatre). Scott has appeared as a performer in the Canadian premiere of The Hobbit (Grand Theatre, London), A Christmas Carol: The Musical (Rose Theatre, Brampton), The Last Five Years (Big Benn Productions, Broadway World Award nominee), and most recently as Lancelot in Spamalot (Grove Theatre), Marcus in Murder for Two (Festival Antigonish/Neptune Theatre/1000 Islands Playhouse) and Man 1 in Songs for a New World (Rosebud Theatre). In 2019 he was part of the Virtual Community in Dear Evan Hansen at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, and had the honour of singing backup for both Josh Groban and Sarah Brightman. He has performed with artists such as Steven Page, Lee Aaron, Fefe Dobson, Sarah Slean and Jeremy Fisher with his choirs. Scott was also a featured soloist in The World Beloved at Carnegie Hall in NYC in 2013 with the Eastminster Choir, returning to Carnegie with newchoir in 2015 and SoundCrowd in 2017 to perform in the sold out Total Vocal concerts, led by the godfather of modern a cappella, Deke Sharon (The Sing-Off, Pitch Perfect). SoundCrowd returned for another appearance at Total Vocal in 2025, this time as a featured ensemble on the stage of the Lincoln Centre’s newly renovated David Geffen Hall.

Scott hopes that his passion for the power of music will be shared through SoundCrowd by singers and audiences alike for many years to come.

After spending SoundCrowd’s first two seasons as Dance Captain and Performance Team member, Ashley stepped into the role of resident Choreographer in 2018 and has been designing creative movement and visual storytelling for the group ever since!

Since her very first dance recital at the tender age of four, Ashley has dedicated her time to perfecting her craft of creating resonant theatre. Ashley soon realized that versatility meant longevity and spent 15+ years training under many of Canada’s most acclaimed theatre, dance and vocal teachers and respected Canadian theatre artists.

Ashley is an agency-represented performer, professional voice actor and ACTRA member with credits across North America, including both the prestigious Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Centre in NYC. An honours graduate of both the Etobicoke School of the Arts & the Randolph College for the Performing Arts, with supplemental training from Sears & Switzer, Pro Actors Lab, Canada’s National Ballet School and Second City Toronto.

When she is not furthering her training or performing herself, Ashley can be found working as a Theatre Director, Choreographer, Adjudicator & Audition Coach.  As a Teaching Artist, Ashley has spent 15+ years on faculty for various prestigious musical theatre programs, proudly training the next generation of theatre artists from young beginners all the way to pre-professional college students. Ashley has an industry reputation for fusing creativity, compassion and a strong work ethic in all her artistic endeavours and a consistency in motivating others toward success with a collaborative yet decisive style.  Visit www.ashleymedeirosfelix.com to learn more!
